Adobe introduces AI assistant to help enterprises leverage data in PDFs

The Acrobat AI Assistant for enterprise enables employees to generate summaries, get answers to questions, create drafts, and navigate reports easily. The AI assistant is currently being used by Adobe employees in sales and research and development, leading to increased efficiency in analyzing industry trends and responding to requests for proposals.
The tool focuses on common business use cases such as report querying, document navigation, content summarization, and data extraction.

The AI models powering the assistant are from Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI service, with plans to integrate other large language models in the future. Adobe emphasizes the importance of human judgment in using AI, highlighting the assistant as a tool to augment human capabilities rather than replace them. The company is providing guidance and support to help enterprises implement the AI assistant responsibly. The long-term vision for Adobe is to empower employees with AI assistance to unlock their potential and enhance their work quality and well-being.

The Acrobat AI Assistant for enterprises is now available, sold as an add-on to existing enterprise Acrobat licenses on a per-user basis. While currently only supporting English, additional language support is on the way.
