Microsoft Edge is experimenting with a new feature for video translation.

Users have noticed a new "Translate" button that becomes visible when hovering over a video. However, now, clicking on this button does not trigger any action.

Microsoft Edge is gearing up for a notable enhancement, poised to introduce a translation feature for videos in four languages – English, French, Spanish, and Russian. While still under development, this promising feature showcases a language selection dropdown, although its translation functionality is not yet operational.

In addition to this major update, Microsoft has fine-tuned a smaller aspect within Edge. The “Auto Picture-in-Picture” feature's description has been revised for better clarity. It now explicitly states that videos will automatically transition to Picture in Picture mode when users shift focus between different applications, rather than during tab or window navigation.

These advancements in the Canary build of Microsoft Edge present compelling new functionalities for users, particularly the video translation tool, which stands to significantly broaden content accessibility for a global audience once fully implemented.
